FEA HOUSE
Co. DOWN
Retaining the leafy character of this site was paramount, so we prioritized preserving and replanting as many trees as possible.
The small, undulating site had complex, shifting levels, making access and multi-level design particularly challenging.
Rather than imposing on the landscape, we sought to embrace it—creating a house that ‘praises’ the trees, allowing occupants to feel immersed in nature.
Framed views at every vantage point enhance this connection, while the landscape is designed to flow over, around, and even beneath the house.
The interplay between architecture, trees, and terrain was fundamental to the design, ensuring a seamless integration between built and natural environments. The timber cladding echoes the trees, creating a soft and warm aesthetic; all on a developers budget.
This is a contemporary, energy-efficient prestigious development house in Co. Down, Northern Ireland, by Four Seven Homes.
