A traditional Irish cottage style mixed with modern elements.

With a restricted budget, this client wanted to make the most of their money; by designing an efficient house.  The circulation space has been designed to a minimum – so the space is concentrated on usable rooms.  Each room is designed efficiently, with bedrooms, in particular, not having any unnecessary space.  This benefits the family dynamics

We have created a 4 bedroom house, with an open plan space, all within 1800 sq ft.

Aesthetically, the clients had conflicting views on whether they wanted a modern or traditional house.  The design therefore has created a compromise; conceptually, the house is a traditional cottage, with a modern living room ‘extension’.
